Dormy Inn Matsumoto

Cleanliness, staff friendliness although they can't speak English, they try to help us. Good breakfast and also complimentary beverage, Ramen and ice cream. That was amazing complimentary welcome.

We did not have breakfast at the Dormy Inn but the menu looked really good. We did enjoy the complementary ramen in the evening. The kids also enjoyed yogurt drinks after the hot spring. All of us have enjoyed the hot spring! Although it is small but it is wonderful to have an outdoor one too! The only thing we found somewhat annoying was the constant background music in the hot spring room. We understand it is supposed to be soothing but we would have preferred silence. We highly recommend the Inn for its location, cleanliness, efficient and helpful staff, hot spring, welcoming treats and good price! They even lend us umbrellas when it rained! We also appreciate the fact that they responded to our question by email and accommodated our request. They took care of our luggage before check-in and after check-out time. What wonderful service! The Onsen is an amazing experience.

Staff were very hospitable. Their service was beyond my expectations. We stayed for 2 nights only. Hotel is 5 to 7 minute walk from Matsumoto Station. Instructions given by the concierge were very clear. We added breakfast for 2 days and our parents were very happy. On our last night, we just bought some bento meals from Family Mart and consumed the foods at the hotel. The staff allowed us to eat at the breakfast venue so that it would be easier for us to get free cups of water and coffee. The onsen experience was also outstanding. It was our parents' first time to experience natural hot spring in Japan. Last but the best thing that I want to commend is when we lost our son's pair of rubbershoes and the staff was able to find it in the hotel. They volunteered to send it to our friend's location in Tokyo free of charge. We are really grateful for their excellent service.

It's a standard hotel. Decent and clean but didn't leave a lasting impression. I only stayed for one night. I enjoyed the onsen. I didn't get the breakfast because there was a quaint cafe I wanted to visit. Good location.
